Being a homeowner tests my sanity. I just wanted to say that. It's hard to find a good, reliable, knowledgeable contractor. And when the job is done, who's to say it's really done correctly. Inevitably at some point during the project, the contractor will come back and say, "it doesn't look good, you need a new..." which usually ends up costing me in a big way. Part of it is owning an older home, and part of it is that there's people running around with a hammer who have no business even pounding a nail.
